Diese Bilder hat uns Louise Tandrup Ostergaard, die Tochter von Cobbergates Züchtern, geschickt. Sie lebt heute in Singapur, ihre Eltern in Frankreich. Früher hat Louise die Munkholm Ponys ausgebildet und in Schaubildern und auf Turnieren vorgestellt, bis sie ins Großpferdelager gewechselt ist. / These photographs were given to us by Louise Tandrup Ostergaard, the daughter of Cobbergate´s breeders. She lives in Singapur now, her parents in France. It was Louise who rode and showed the Munkholm ponies in the past until she was too old to take part in pony competitions.

"Mummy and the gang 1984"
zeigt Cobbergates Mutter Cora mit Louise auf ihrem Rücken. Cobbergate ist das Fohlen rechts. Die Schimmelstute dahinter ist seine Schwester Munkholm Cordelia, ein erfolgreiches Dressurpony in Dänemark. Das Fohlen links ist Munkholm Camelot, ein Halbbruder zu Cobbergate aus der Catkin, der ebenfalls als Dressurpony in Deutschland erfolgreich war. /  is Cora with me on her back. Coppergate is the foal to the right, the grey mare behind is his sister Munkholm Cordelia, a successful dressage pony in Denmark. The foal to the left is halfbrother to Coppergate, Munkholm Camelot, he turned out to be an excellent jumper.

zeigt Munkholm Colooney 1985 als Fohlen mit ihrer braunen Mutter Øxenholm Cora. / is Colooney in 1985 with her mum grazing as usual.

"Colooney 1988"
zeigt die dreijährige Munkholm Colooney im April 1988 noch im Winterpelz mit ihren Züchtern vor dem Gestüt. / is from our stud in April 1988 it is my parents holding her, and as you can see, colooney is still in her wintercoat.

"Selection 1988"
zeigt Cobbergate bei der Körung in Dänemark. Links der Vater von Louise als stolzer Besitzer. / Coppergate the day he became a graded stallion in Denmark. It is my dad to the left, as the proud owner.

"Father and son"
zeigt Cobbergates berühmetn Vater, Ardnasillagh O´Flaherty, mit einem seiner Nachkommen. / a foal is greeting his famous dad Ardnasillagh O'Flaherty. O'Flaherty loved to hang around his kids, maybe he was telling them about their future to come.

In March 2008 we received an e-mail from Jaana in Finland, containing these wonderful photos of Ardnasillagh O’Flaherty. This is what she writes about this grand stallion:
“Cobbergates daddy O´Flaherty spent the last 5 years of his life in my small stud and was my friend, mentor, working companion and the horse of my life. He was a horse that never said no for working. He took so good care of his mares and foals. He was a gentleman to breed visiting mares(I bred mares with him alone). After loosing him to melanoma and at same time I divorced, I stopped breeding connemara-ponies, cause I coudn´t find a stallion like he was and one reason was also finlands tough line for inspecting ponies and the lack of freedom to breed by your own feel.
I´m so happy [...] that someone still remembers O´Flaherty and appreciates his progeny. You know that he was really underappreciated  during his time in Finland, not by mareowners but by our own breed association. He  may not left  many showstars but good broodmares and ponies that moved well and were exellent competing ponies in all areas of riding.
But you know that Karens email last fall brighted my day, just because someone remembered and appreciated my old hubby. Something that no-one here in finland have never done.”
